WHAT WE DO
C.H.A.M.P.S for Life, Churches & Communities Helping in Academic Mentor Programs for Students, recognized the overwhelming need to partner with schools, social service agencies, faith-based and community partners to address the needs of youth and their families in the community. Over the years, our program provided life skills, intervention, prevention, counseling, and mentoring services to at-risk youth and their families in the community. Youth from ages 5-21 were enrolled in life skills classes in order to equip them with dealing with adverse factors throughout the community. Currently, we provide monthly mentor meetings, community pop-up events (field trips, mini-festivals, etc.), and daily meal distribution due to the pandemic. We support churches who have food closets and youth programs. We also provide support to the homeless and other services. We engage youth in service learning and giving back and welcome volunteers.
